UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon will commemorate those killed in World War II today in Kyiv.

The Head of the United Nations, together with the European leaders and the President of Ukraine will arrive in Kyiv from Gdansk, where were held commemorative events the day before. The ceremony near the monument to shipyard workers killed during the protests of 1970, was attended by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, and, in particular, the presidents of Lithuania, Estonia, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Romania, Croatia.

In Poland, President Poroshenko suggested that the United Nations send peacekeepers to the Donbas.
