May 13, Turkey will host a meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Commission at the level of the Foreign Ministers. This event will be attended by the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Pavlo Klimkin, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
The Commission meeting will be devoted to discussion of the current state of politics and security in Ukraine, graphics of intensive political dialogue in the near future, as well as the further development of the cooperation between Ukraine and NATO in order to support the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state.
There will be also discussed the restoration of Ukraine's defense capability, combat readiness, and logistics of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After the meeting of Ukraine-NATO Commission, there will be made a joint statement.
Klimkin will also participate in the meeting of advisory and operational partners of the NATO training mission in Afghanistan and will hold bilateral meetings with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and a number of foreign ministers of member states of the Alliance.
In addition, Klimkin will take part in discussions within the Youth Ministerial Meeting, a conference for young professionals, journalists and experts in the field of international relations, which will be held by the Association of the Atlantic Treaty "in the fields" of the NATO ministerial events.
Earlier, it was reported that the NATO countries were going to assist Ukraine in reforming security and defense sectors as the future of Europe is impossible without free and prosperous Ukraine.
