Inquest in case of Savchenko extended for six months

The Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation extended the inquest in case of Savchenko to November 13.

The Investigative Committee of Russia extended the investigation in the case of Nadiya Savchenko, a Ukrainian pilot and people's deputy of Ukraine, to November 13. It was announced by her lawyer Nikolai Polozov on Twitter, Tyzhden informs.

"IC extended investigation in case of Nadiya Savchenko to 11.13.2015. For 6 months," he wrote.

It should be recalled that 30 April, the European Parliament adopted a resolution urging Russia to liberate the MP, member of the Permanent Delegation of Ukraine to PACE, Nadiya Savchenko.

The resolution stresses that Russia has no legal grounds or jurisdiction for any action against Savchenko, including her imprisonment and accusations.

It should be noted that the Kremlin does not comment on the resolution of the European Parliament and prepares to judge Savchenko.

May 6, Moscow's Basmanny District Court will hold the process on the complaint of Savchenko's protection regarding the refusal to allow her attend the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe at the session of the organization.
