DPR militants to shoot demonstration in Donetsk on May 9

The leaders of the so-called DPR are preparing bloody provocation in Donetsk on May 9. It was reported by Colonel Andriy Lysenko, the representative of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine on ATO, at the briefing.

According to the Colonel, the intelligence service provided evidence that the militants intend to shoot peaceful demonstration in Donetsk on the Victory Day and blame the ATO forces for the terror attack, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the information-analytical center of the National Security Council.

"The enemy will accuse ATO forces of this terrorist attack, and will use the blood of peaceful civilians of the Donbas as a pretext for a massive offensive on the Ukrainian positions near Shyrokine, Pisky, and Stanytsia Luhanska," said Lysenko.

Earlier, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that the militants and Russian forces in the east of Ukraine were going to start active offensive operations in the second half of May.
