German Chancellor Angela Merkel has officially confirmed that she would arrive in Moscow to celebrate the 70-year anniversary of the victory over the Nazis in World War II with Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is reported by the press service of the government of Germany, Joinfo.ua informs.
It is reported that the two leaders will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and then meet for a business dinner in a narrow circle.
The Chancellor is expected to return in Berlin at the end of the day.
Back in March it was reported that Merkel would not arrive at the Victory Day parade, but would lay flowers at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with President Putin on May 10.
