Such an opinion was expressed by Yevgeny Chichvarkin, the former co-founder and co-owner of the Russian mobile phone retailer "Yevroset", who is currently living in the UK.
"The minimum objective is overland route to Crimea. The maximum objective is to "chop off" half of Ukraine," said Chichvarkin.
According to Chichvarkin, the minimum objective is not yet implemented, because "the people around Putin have economic interests in the world."
Nevertheless, says Chichvarkin, Putin is not going to abandon his idea.
"He will not rest on oars. He will try to stir the pot. Now, no one says," Take the Donbas back," he said.
That is why Chichvarkin advised Ukraine "to be ready for the worst."
"The attack can begin. The "War Party" can not live in a different way. He (Putin – Joinfo.ua) has set his feet on this slippery path. Before the Olympics, his rating was much less than 50%, people are tired of him," he said.
It should be noted that the position of Chichvarkin is entirely consistent with the one of a number of Ukrainian political scientists. They say about the theory that the removal of Zurabov, the Russian Ambassador to Kyiv, will be the "black mark" for Ukraine. As it was reported earlier, President Vladimir Putin signed a decree "On the Special Representative of the Russian Federation in the Contact Group on the settlement of the situation in Ukraine," which probably means that Zurabov will be recalled from Kyiv.
Political scientists think that the appointment of Azamat Kulmuhametov to the Contact Group means that Putin has made the decision to continue the war, and interference of Barack Obama is the last hope for Ukraine.
