Japan to give Ukraine $ 1.8 billion, but afraid it to be stolen

Japan provides Ukraine with $ 1.8 billion assistance. It was reported by MP Svitlana Zalishchuk on her Facebook page.

MP noted that the provision of this sum was confirmed by Kentaro Sonoura, Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, Joinfo.ua reports.

"And he immediately asked about corruption – whether the government will control the spending of the international assistance. We told about the new anti-corruption legislation, the newly created Anti-Corruption Bureau, the fight against oligarchs. At the same time, both sides realize that this is only the tools, time will tell whether the goal will be achieved," said Zalishchuk.

She stresses that, according to the Ukrainian ambassador in Tokyo, now Japan conciders Ukraine as the ally more than ever.
