First EU-Ukraine summit after Maidan starts in Kyiv

President of European Council Donald Tusk and President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker arrived to the seventeenth EU-Ukraine summit.

Kyiv is hosting the Seventeenth EU-Ukraine summit. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is having a meeting with President of the European Council, Donald Tusk, and President of the European Commission, Jean-Claude Juncker, vis-à-vis, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the press service of the head of state.

This is the first summit between Ukraine and the European Union after the events on the Maidan. It will focus on the implementation of the Association Agreement, the political and economic reforms in Ukraine, including financial and other assistance from the European Union.

After the meeting of the presidents, there will held a plenary session, during which they will discuss the process of reforms in Ukraine and sectoral cooperation.

Based on the results of EU-Ukraine summit, there will be held a joint press conference of the presidents.
