Poroshenko agrees upon French weapons supplies to Ukraine

During his visit to France, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko agreed to sign new agreements with French companies.

Yesterday, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko paid an official visit to France, then the State Concern "Ukroboronprom" signed new agreements with French companies – the world's leaders in arms sales, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the press service of "Ukroboronprom."

Strategic agreements in the sphere of military-technical cooperation between the two countries were reached in the framework of the working visit of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to France.

The specialists at the State Self-Supporting Foreign Trade and Investment Firm "Ukrinmash" signed a contract with the French company Thales Communication & Security SAS on the supplies of the means of tactical radio communications for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. There was signed a Memorandum of Understanding on a joint project on creation of a modern patrol aircraft with the Thales Systems Aeroportes SAS company.

The company also signed a protocol with Airbus Helicopters SAS on the supplies of H125 single-engine helicopters.

Also France promised to support Ukraine in the fight against organized crime and strengthening of internal security.
