Ukrainian deputies enact another loan from EU for refugees from Donbas

The members of the Ukrainian Parliament ratified the agreement for a loan from the EU for reconstruction of destroyed areas.

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine ratified an agreement with the European Investment Bank for a 200 million euro loan to meet short-term needs of the affected areas under the control of the Ukrainian authorities, Joinfo.ua reports.

The Law "On ratification of the financing agreement between Ukraine and the European Investment Bank" (Emergency credit program to restore Ukraine) was supported by 263 people's deputies.

The agreement was signed in Kyiv on December 22, 2014.

The program also provides for the provision of basic infrastructure needs for IDPs in other regions. In particular, it is referred to the construction of infrastructure projects in other regions: Zaporizhia, Dnepropetrovsk, Kharkiv, as well as the assistance to temporarily displaced persons with a view to their return to the territory they used to live in.
