U.S. ready to give Ukraine $ 1 billion and help with humanitarian aid for refugees

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had conversation with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden, and the latter expressed support for Ukraine.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked Joseph Biden for sending American military to Ukraine in order to conduct joint exercises "Fearless Guardian 2015", as well as for his personal contribution to the realization of this project, Joinfo.ua reports referring to the press service of the head of state.

"This is a new and important page that proved strategic level of partnership between Ukraine and the United States," said the President.

The parties have coordinated their further actions in the field of defense, particularly on the provision of further assistance for Ukraine.

Vice President Biden announced the readiness of the United States to provide Ukraine with loan guarantees in the amount of $ 1 billion within the financial support in 2015. He also reported on the funding of projects for the provision of humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons and victims of the war in the Donbas.

Earlier it was reported that in conversation with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that militants blocked the delivery of humanitarian convoys with Ukrainian and international assistance.
