On one of the official pages on social networks, commenting on today's news of Novorossia, Igor Girkin said that in order to win, Russia needs to become a truly independent power, Joinfo.ua reports.
"I want to express the thesis, which is an axiom for me. We went to war, and now nobody knows how it will end. A lot depends on our president, our government. Much depends on us too, but more depends on them … Russia may come out of this war even stronger, restore the status of at least a regional power. Or it may come out with even more debris and predictable consequences in the form of general degradation and depopulation…
Even with the support of China Russia will not be able to resist the West, without developing its own position, and not being ready to defend it. If Russia does not establish its own economic, military independence, does not establish sovereignty in all areas of its business – it is useless to expect anything, nobody will ever treat it as an equal partner.
The history shows that only the strong and able to stand up for themselves are always respected. Others, who are not ready to jump down the enemy's throat, will be killed, robbed and humiliated sooner or later. Russia must build relations with other states basing on understanding of its own national interests… Russia should build its own civilization project … In order to have allies, it needs to have a clearly defined, coherent policy. Unfortunately, we have not had one. Our policy is circular firing squad," said Girkin.
