Next week, French President Francois Hollande will host Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko. The heads of state will discuss the conflict in eastern Ukraine. The meeting was announced by Francois Hollande on Wednesday, April 15, during a visit to Bern (Switzerland), the DW news agency reports with reference to AFP.
Hollande also said that together with German Chancellor Angela Merkel they will continue to make every effort for fulfillment of the Minsk accords. The head of the French state believes that this can be done only with the help of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). "We want the Minsk agreements to be fully complied with and implemented, and we should ensure this," said Hollande.
It should be recalled that recently, there was held a meeting of foreign ministers of the G7. The foreign ministers of France, Britain, Germany, Canada, USA, Italy and Japan insist on the need for "rapid and substantial progress on outstanding issues." In addition, the participants stressed that sanctions on Russia would not be removed until the Minsk agreements were fully implemented.
