330,000 Ukrainians flee to Russia – FMS of Russia

The Federal Migration Service allowed the citizens of Ukraine to stay in Russia until August 1.

According to Konstantin Romodanovskiy, the head of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) of Russia, 330 thousand Ukrainians won temporary asylum in Russia, Tyzhden informs.

"Around 330 thousand people received temporary asylum status, more than 170 thousand received temporary residence permit," he said.

According to Romodanovskiy, temporary immigrants are allowed to stay until August 1.

"Yet we are helping and will help people, make them feel comfortable, and have prospects in Russia, especially when such a disaster has happened at their homeland," said the head of the Russian migration service.

According to FMS, about 1,000-1,200 Ukrainians receive temporary shelter in Russia every day.
