French President Francois Hollande will have a serious conversation with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko regarding non-fulfillment of Minsk agreements by the Ukrainian party in full, Tyzhden.ua reports referring to its sources.
The news agency informs that French President invited several editors of the French media to dinner. They discussed Ukraine.
Francois Hollande said that "Ukraine does not seem to fully comply with the Minsk agreements" and shared his intent "to talk about it at the next meeting with Poroshenko and Angela Merkel."
The sources of the agency say that this information is alarming in the context that the French leadership is sure: on May 9, Putin will not strengthen the tension in the occupied territories in eastern Ukraine. Instead, after this date, he will probably undertake the offensive.
Therefore, "nitpicking" in the Ukrainian politics may be a preventive step in order to justify another refusal to help Ukraine.
It should be recalled that on the eve of the EU March summit, Donald Tusk said that European leaders were skeptical about strengthening sanctions against Russia. In particular, it was reported that France, Italy, and Spain opposed putting pressure on Russia.
