Police arrest old woman helping militants via ‘hotline’

Police detained a resident of the Donetsk region, who collected information about location of the Ukrainian army units and the movement of military equipment, and then passed information via "hotline of the DPR."

It turned out to be 61-year-old resident of the Memryk village. She hoped that her actions would help the rebels to seize the Krasnoarmiisk region and the whole Donetsk region, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the press service of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine in the Donetsk region.

The woman was spying for terrorists from October till November last year, freely moving around the district, approaching the places adjacent to the defense line of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The citizen is suspected of a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 256 "On asistance to the participants of criminal organizations" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect can face from 3 to 5 years of imprisonment.

It should be recalled that on March 29 in the area of the ATO, the SBU counterintelligence detained three local residents, who performed criminal orders of militants of the so-called DPR terrorist organization.
