This was stated by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko during a joint press conference after the talks with President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski, which took place today in Kyiv.
"Poland and Ukraine have a common position on the need to extend the sanctions," said the head of the Ukrainian state.
Poroshenko stressed that the sanctions could be lifted only if "there were no conditions for their adoption."
Ukrainian president announced these conditions. From the territory of Ukraine there must be withdrawn the foreign forces and equipment, there must be held fair elections, recognized by the world community, and Crimea must be freed.
In addition, according to Poroshenko, Ukraine hopes to increase the Polish presence in the Special monitoring mission of the OSCE.
President Poroshenko thanked President Komorowski and Poland for supporting Ukraine's European aspirations.
