Russian President Vladimir Putin plans to attend the UN General Assembly session, which is scheduled for September this year in New York. It is reported by Kommersant with reference to several sources close to the Kremlin, a source in the UN Secretariat and the press secretary of the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov, Joinfo.ua reports.
"The possibility of the trip is being considered. The final decision has not been made yet," said Peskov.
According to the publication, the final decision will be made in August. It is noted that everything will depend on the international situation. Now the trip is in the preliminary schedule.
This year's session of the UN General Assembly will celebrate its anniversary – it will be the 70th in succession. It will consider the question of limiting the veto right of the permanent members of the UN Security Council, including Russia.
