Tomorrow, March 28, as a part of the Earth Hour program, the Moscow Kremlin will switch off external lighting for an hour. Such a decision was made by President Putin, the press service of the Kremlin reports.

According to the Kremlin press service, tomorrow, March 28, as part of the Moscow international environmental action "Earth Hour", by the decision made by President Vladimir Putin, the official residence of the head of state – the Moscow Kremlin will turn off the external lightning for one hour (from 20:30 to 21:30 MSK), Joinfo.ua reports.

Reference: Earth Hour is the Annual International Ecological Action of the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), aimed at drawing attention of the inhabitants of the planet to the climate changes. The main point of the action is that people around the world voluntarily turn off the light in the same time for one hour, and the buildings that are symbols of various countries, turn off outside decorative lighting.

Earth Hour is the most massive action in the history of mankind. Last year it was supported by more than 2 billion people in 162 countries, including more than 20 million Russians.

Russia has taken part in Earth Hour since 2008. In 2013, under the decision of Vladimir Putin, the Moscow Kremlin joined the action for the first time.
