Putin: no more coddling, only war

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the situation around Russia would change for the better only if Russia became stronger.

Speaking before the Board of the Federal Security Service, Putin noted that the Russian Federation would always have an "adequate response" to anti-Russian actions, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Russian media.

"The situation can not remain as it is forever. The situation will change for the better not due to the fact that we will constantly give in, yield, or coddle … It will change for the better only if we become stronger," said Putin.

"There have been developed entirely new combat systems of Prompt Global Strike, conducted military operations in space," the president listed.

Putin believes that the Russian Federation will always have an adequate response to anti-Russian actions. "As it was recently clearly stated: dissentients will have their arms twisted periodically," said the head of Russia.

Putin also said that there were planned actions against Russia during the upcoming elections in 2016 and 2018. He demanded to prevent such attempts to destabilize the situation. "The Western intelligence agencies continue to exploit public non-governmental organizations and politicized associations primarily to discredit the government and destabilize the internal situation in Russia," said Putin. According to him, "there are already planned actions for the period of the upcoming election campaigns in 2016 and 2018".
