Germany ready to send peacekeepers to Ukraine

Germany is willing to discuss the direction of the peacekeeping mission to Ukraine to resolve the conflict in the Donbas. It was announced by Andriy Melnyk, Ambassador of Ukraine in Germany, on Twitter.

The Ambassador said that Volodymyr Groysman, the Chairman for the Verkhovna Rada, met with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier. "Germany is ready to discuss the issue of peacekeeping mission in Ukraine," said Miller, Joinfo.ua reports.

According to the Ambassador, Groysman informed Steinmeier on the progress of constitutional reform in Ukraine and decentralization measures. "German experience in organizing the work of Parliament is very important for us," said Groysman.

Steinmeier stressed that Germany could stabilize the economic situation in Ukraine.

It should be recalled that Volodymyr Groysman, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, signed a decree to apply to the United Nations and the European Union on introduction of peacekeeping mission in Donbas.
