The refugees from Ukraine, who had moved to Russia from the "hot spots" of the Donbas, began to return to their homes, because they did not get living conditions in the Russian Federation. It was told by Yevheniy Magda, a political scientist and Director of the Center for Public Relations, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Glavnoe web portal.
"The refugees began returning from Russia to the Donbas for obvious reasons. In Russia, they were never offered high-quality living conditions. People are returning with the hope that their houses survived, and they can get back to peaceful life. This does not mean that they confide in the self-proclaimed republics. Russia used the factor of the Ukrainian refugees in its own interests, and now it does not need them," said Magda.
The expert believes that this moment will enhance the loyalty of the Donbas residents towards Ukraine.
"Loyalty to Ukraine is growing here. In fact, there were no Donetsk separatism there. It was artificially invented, so it was quickly kindled on the wave of propaganda. But after the shock the people in the region experienced, they began to rethink the situation," said Magda.
Earlier it was reported that refugees from Crimea, who ran from the peninsula last year, have not received refugee status in Poland.
