Russian President Vladimir Putin went to Astana to meet with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the leader of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Kremlin press service.
"Trilateral meeting of Vladimir Putin, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko is scheduled for March 20," the statement reads.
"The parties intend to discuss the state and prospects of the trade and economic cooperation between the three countries, the Eurasian integration processes, taking into account the impact of current trends in the global economy. The leaders are expected to exchange their views on current international issues, particularly the situation in Ukraine," the press service of the Russian president reports.
Also during the visit, there will be held a bilateral meeting between Vladimir Putin and Nursultan Nazarbayev.
