The State Duma of the Russian Federation and its Chairman Sergei Naryshkin denied the request of the deputies to hold a moment of silence in honor of Nemtsov.

A member of the party A Just Russia, a deputy Dmitry Gudkov reported that the State Duma of the Russian Federation did not accept the proposal to honor memory of Nemtsov with a moment of silence, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Gudkov's posts on Twitter.

Gudkov also said that Vladimir Zhirinovsky proposed to ban any "moment of silence" in the State Duma.

"What now? We will have to hold a moment of silence on every occasion?" said Zhirinovsky.
