Russian Foreign Ministry has hysterics about NATO exercises and threatens to undermine security in Europe

Mikhail Ulyanov, Director of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, told about the consequences of NATO approaching to Russia"s borders.

Mikhail Ulyanov, Director of the Department for Non-Proliferation and Arms Control of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, promised that the deployment of NATO forces near the border with Russia on a rotational basis would entail serious consequences for the military and political security in Europe, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the Russian media.

"In order to avoid charges of violating the relevant obligations, NATO countries act under the principle of deploying the forces on a rotating basis, i.e. it is not a permanent deployment, but interchangeable divisions," Ulyanov said.

However, according to a representative of the Foreign Ministry, the Kremlin does not care whether these forces are on permanent or rotating basis.

"We will continue to monitor. So far, we have not made final conclusions regarding possible violation, but we will, if necessary. Of course, it will have certain implications for the political and military measurement of security in Europe," he added.

It should be recalled that the other day in the Black Sea seven NATO member countries started military exercises. The exercises involve naval and rapid reaction forces of the U.S. flagship, the Vicksburg missile cruiser and the ships of six more states, including naval forces of the Black Sea region of Turkey, Romania and Bulgaria, as well as Canada, Germany, and Italy.
