President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko spoke with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel over the phone, reports Joinfo.ua with reference to the press service of the Head of State.

The two sides stressed on the need to increase the number of the OSCE observers and technical equipment of the mission to accelerate the deployment of the OSCE observation points on the contact line.
Ukrainian President and German Chancellor discussed the introduction of further sanctions against Russia and their extension to the full implementation of the Minsk agreements, including the restoration of control over the Ukrainian-Russian border.
The sides also discussed the details of the forthcoming visit of President of Ukraine to Germany, to be held in March.
Earlier it was reported that President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi agreed on the issue of expansion of sanctions against Russia.
