Belarus to limit broadcast of Russian TV channels

Russian propaganda irritates Belarus so much that the United Civic Party urges the Belarusian authorities to remove the propaganda of hate from the information space of the country.

The Political Council of the United Civic Party appealed to the authorities to restrict the broadcasting of the Russian TV channels, in particular, it is referred to the information programs, broadcasting Russian propaganda, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to the official website of the party.

"Today it is obvious that the murder of the Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov was possible only because of the atmosphere of hatred existing today in the Russian society. It is created and heated mostly by the Russian federal TV channels. The streams of misinformation, hate, outspoken appeals to combat those who think not like the people sitting in the Kremlin, afflict the people of Belarus. And it is in a situation where there is no adequate response and reaction. The forces and resources of independent Belarusian media are limited. The virus of hatred knows no limits, many Belarusian people are subject to it. If it is not stopped, Belarus will hear shots in the back too, as it was in the late 90s.

It should be understood that hatred eventually becomes uncontrollable and unmanageable, and can fall on anyone, especially if it is directed from the offices of the other countries' politicians," the Political Council of the UCP says.
