Federica Mogherini, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, said that Russia must respect international law if it wants to be a key international player, Joinfo.ua reports.
"You have to show respect for international law and principles to be received as a key regional and international player," Mogherini said.
"We hope Russia will go back to responsible behavior starting from implementation of Minsk agreement," she added.
"It is clear now that the door for European cooperation is always open also for Russia," Mogherini said.
"But it should not be used as a reason to violate international principles," she said.
Earlier Mogherini said that sanctions against Russia would not be canceled in March.
