Russia offended: President Poroshenko took Prince Vladimir

The Russian government accuses President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko of allegedly 'privatizing' the Kyiv Prince Vladimir the Great.

Russian deputies are offended by the Decree of the Head of the Ukrainian state "On the commemoration of Prince Vladimir the Great of Kyiv", which states that Prince Vladimir created the medieval state "Rus-Ukraine."

In the State Duma, Franz Klintsevich, the first deputy head of the faction United Russia, called it "rewriting history to the Ukrainian fashion."

"It seems that Poroshenko has now decided to privatize the Prince Vladimir the Red Sun, the Baptist of Rus," said the offended member of the party.
