Captive MP, Representative of Ukraine in PACE and pilot Nadiya Savchenko can die in the coming days due to sharp health deterioration. It was stated by Elena Masuk, a member of the board of the Russian President for Development of Civil Society and Human Rights in her address to the HRC.
"I have repeatedly visited Nadiya Savchenko both in the women's jail No 6, and in the special block of the prison hospital No 1 "Matrosskaya Tishina". After today's meeting with Nadiya I must say that in the last days her health has deteriorated rapidly. Today is the 76th day of her hunger strike. For 15 days she has been refusing glucose injections. She has serious problems with her internal organs. Nadiya Savchenko can die in the coming days," Masuk writes.
She asked the Human Rights Council of the Russian Federation to promote Savchenko's transfer to house arrest.
"We can not release Nadiya Savchenko, but we can appeal to those who can change her preventive measure. For example, to house arrest in the walls of the Ukrainian embassy in Moscow or in a rented apartment in Moscow. It will save her life," she said.
It should be recalled that the Court left the Ukrainian pilot Nadiya Savchenko in custody .
"Lying creeps from the Investigative Committee hold me prisoner illegally and make me starve," said Nadiya, who has been on a hunger strike for 76 days.
