Komorowski: UN peacekeepers must be in Ukraine

Poland will support the idea of introducing peacekeeping mission into the territory of eastern Ukraine. This was stated by President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski. He said that that Poland would support the idea of the UN peacekeepers monitoring compliance with the Minsk agreements by all parties in the Donbas, Joinfo.ua reports.

"We follow the expectations of the Ukrainian side regarding the support of its efforts to have UN forces on the territory that has to be an element of mutual disengagement of forces which complies with the agreements reached in Minsk. Poland will support this postulate of Ukraine," Komorowski said.

As Bronislaw Komorowski said, the decision to strengthen sanctions against Russia should be made after international consultations. In Kyiv, Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, was talking about the possibility of strengthening and expanding the list of restrictions too.
