Norway expects Russian invasion and conducts large-scale military exercises

For the first time in more than half a century the Norwegian security service assigned large-scale military exercises. Now these activities take place in many NATO countries. Norwegian exercises will be held in March and involve more than five thousand representatives of the army, navy, air forces and civil defense.

In 2018, Norway is going to hold the exercises involving 25,000 NATO military. Mainly there will be practiced the Finnmark region, the northern region of Norway where this country has 200-kilometer border with Russia. Moreover, Oslo states that this border is not protected from the possible aggression of Moscow in Oslo.

Norway does not hide the fact that the stepping-up of military preparation is associated with the Kremlin's policy. Here it is clear that it is not a peaceful neighbor, but a real danger, and most importantly, an unpredictable enemy.

Moreover, Norway has the reason to fear Russian aggression – the island of Spitsbergen. Officially, it is under the jurisdiction of Oslo, but it is a demilitarized zone and 200 Russian people live there. And according to Oslo, the Russians have a pathological passion to defend the Russian world.
