Stoltenberg: NATO has documented proof of Russian Armed Forces’ presence in Donbas

NATO intelligence service has documents confirming the presence of the Armed Forces of Russia in the east of Ukraine. It was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg.

According to Stoltenberg, Russia's military presence in the Donbas are confirmed by independent sources, including journalists. Along with it, the information on military equipment of the Armed Forces of Russia deployed in eastern Ukraine is provided by the OSCE Mission.

"It is hard to believe that armed groups independently use this military equipment. Obviously, Russian specialists are operating there and they provide assistance in using complex weapon systems," Stoltenberg said.

NATO Secretary General says that there is the need to establish mechanisms to monitor and ensure control over the ceasefire. According to him, the OSCE Mission plays an important role here.
