Russia is not going to perform Minsk Agreement

Russia is a peacemaker and mediator in resolving the conflict in the Donbas, says Dmitry Peskov, a spokesperson for Vladimir Putin. So it should not be expected to perform the agreements.

"There are no Russian military and weapons in Ukraine, the Russian Federation is not a conflict party in the Donbas" is a favorite Putin's mantra, repeated by his spokesperson.

"This is a country that urged the conflict parties to sign a package of measures to implement the Minsk agreements. But Russia is not the party that performs this set of measures," said Dmitry Peskov.

Of course, Moscow expects implementation of all the clauses of the Minsk agreements, but it is not going to contribute. The very fact that Putin made the leaders of DPR and LPR sign the peace agreement is enough, Peskov said.

Moreover, he criticized the Ukrainian authorities and said that the conflict would not be settled if Ukraine were not in the direct contact with the separatists.

The Kremlin spokesperson also denied the statement of the Ukrainian president that he was delivered a lot of ultimatums during the meeting in the Normandy Format.

The Dove of Peace Putin even spoke for immediate ceasefire in the Donbas, but the "rebels" asked to postpone it until 00:00 on February 15, in order to notify everyone about the truce.
