Vladimir Putin kicked from list of world’s most respected men

A poll conducted showed that President Vladimir Putin is not included in the top 10 of the most respected men in the world.

According to data published, the survey showed that today President Vladimir Putin takes the 11th place in the list of the most admired men in the world. Putin was surpassed by Barack Obama, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Bill Gates and even the Dalai Lama, Joinfo.ua reports with reference to Yougov portal.

Yougov survey showed that among the top 10 of the most respected people in the world both men and women were the ex-president of Microsoft Bill Gates and actress Angelina Jolie because of their charity activity. Russian President Vladimir Putin took the 11th place.

Thus, the list of the most respected men in the world is the following: Bill Gates, then goes U.S. President Barack Obama, and the third position is taken by the head of China Xi Jinping. Then go "the world's leaders, sports stars and other celebrities."

The survey was conducted in a simple manner: people from 34 countries were asked who they feel the most respect to. Then, given the answers there was made up a list of 25 men and 25 women.

Yougov"s the Most Admired People

However, the same survey conducted by Yougov in Russia showed that, of course, President Vladimir Putin takes the first place. And apart from him this list of the most respected people in Russia did not include a single politician. In the Russian list, Bill Gates took the 4th place, Jackie Chan – the 2nd, and Brad Pitt – the 3rd. Also the top 10 included actors George Clooney (7) Jason Statham (8) and Hugh Jackman (10). The Russians also respect Edward Snowden (6), the scientist Stephen Hawking (9), and even the Dalai Lama (5).
