Yesterday RAF fighter jets were scrambled to intercept Russian bombers that could carry nuclear weapons, Joinfo.ua reports.
"The Typhoon fighters were ordered to fly alongside the long-range Russian Bear aircraft – which are capable of carrying nuclear weapons – until they left the UK's "area of interest," The Telegraph writes.
Western experts say that Russian maneuvers are an act of aggression and a kind of monitoring the British Air Force readiness to respond quickly to violation of its airspace.
It should be recalled that NATO countries have been indignant with the Russian fighters on its borders. Military aircraft of the Russian Federation not only provoke NATO Air Force, but create problems for civil aviation.
