OSCE Mission can not work properly because of the militants. Lamberto Dzannier, OSCE Secretary General said that the pro-Russian separatists blocked the activity of the observers in the conflict zone, Joinfo.ua reports referring to Die Welt.
"The separatists do not allow us to move freely outside Luhansk and Donetsk, especially towards the Russian border. We depend on the militants. Often they let us go only where it is profitable for them. As a result, we run the risk that our mission is used as a propaganda tool," Dzannier said.
He also noted that the OSCE members work in very difficult conditions in the Donbas.
"We actually took on the mission of "blue helmets", not even having the proper equipment for this," Dzannier complains.
It is to be noted that in Ukraine today there are 450 OSCE observers.
A few days ago it was reported that OSCE Special Monitoring Mission came to the conclusion that the Mariupol firing had been conducted from the territory which is now under the control of the so-called DPR. These conclusions were made on the basis of the analysis.
Experts analyzed the shell crater and found that the Grad missile system had been launched from the area of the village Oktyabr (north-east direction). From the area of the village Zaichenko (east direction) there had been launched Uragan missiles.
The report says that the two settlements are currently controlled by the militants of the DPR organization.
