Sanctions work: Russians not allowed using elevators at ski resort in Switzerland

OTP Holidays Company (UK) specializing is ski tourism in Switzerland informs that it will not sell ski passes to the Russian citizens due to expanded Russian aggression against Ukraine.

The information appeared on the company's website.

"Please note that due to the Ukrainian situation we cannot accept any orders from Russia. Any such orders will be canceled and refunded," the website writes.

Later, the text of the statement was changed. "Unfortunately, at the moment we can not accept online applications from Russia." Yet, the search engines like Yandex and Google demonstrate the previous wording.

According to Bloomberg data published last week, the flow of tourists from Russia to Switzerland has decreased by 10%. It is caused, in particular, by the devaluation of the ruble, as well as by "patriotic sentiments" of the Russians. In addition, Europe makes it clear for Putin's cronies that they are not welcome there – in particular, in the spring of last year, after the annexation of Crimea, the owner of the four-star hotel Brioni in the Czech Republic issued a ban on the stay of the Russian tourists in the hotel.
