Targeted aid for the Ukrainian military from Canada has already arrived in the port of Odessa. It was reported by a representative of the press center of the National Security Council Andriy Lysenko. All this aid will be sent to the Donbas, where the anti-terrorist operation has been carried out since last spring.
The Canadians handed out 42 containers. It is not reported about their content in detail, but it can be assumed that there are winter outfit, equipment for decontamination of explosives, communications and night vision devices. Kyiv does not even ask NATO countries for lethal weapons.
Although, Canada is ready for more. It offered Ukraine decommissioned F/A-18 fighter-bombers. However, Kyiv refused the offer because of the high cost of aircraft maintenance and the lack of pilots able to manage them.
Previously, Canada has already delivered humanitarian aid to Ukraine amounting to 11 million dollars. The Ukrainian army received it too. It included winter clothes and equipment for non-lethal combat.
