The meeting in the "Norman format" will be held today in Berlin. The heads of the foreign ministries of Ukraine, Russia, and France will try to negotiate and prepare the site for negotiations of their leaders to be held in Berlin on January 8-9, Joinfo.ua reports.
At today's talks Ukraine will be presented by the Director of Department of Policy and Communications of MIA of Ukraine Oleksiy Makeev.
The other day in his Twitter he wrote that he expects exciting diplomatic mission, not excluding the emergence of new issues during the negotiations.
At the same time, according to the head of the German Foreign Office, Minsk agreements remain the basis for resolution of the Ukrainian-Russian conflict.
"We need further steps to implement the Minsk agreements, including the establishment of the demarcation line, the withdrawal of heavy weaponry and the provision of access to Donbas for international humanitarian assistance. We are working on it," Steinmeier said earlier.
It is worth mentioning that if the militants actually perform the Minsk agreements, January 15 in Astana, during negotiations with the leaders of Russia, France and Germany Ukraine will start discussing the local elections in Donbas this fall.
President Poroshenko believes that after this Donbas will move towards peace.
