Thus, after the verdict to the Navalny brothers had been announced, in Yekaterinburg, about 300 people took to the streets. The police did not interfere with this. The protests have also been held in Seattle and several European countries.
In Seattle, the American people came out to protest against Putin's tyranny. The demonstrators came to protest at the building of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation.
"We came out against the authorities of the Russian Federation, against the moon talk of the Channel One Russia, against a system that revels in injustice and destroys the laws. We are against a system that smothers and kills everything brave, intelligent, honest, good, and true. We are opposed to such a terrible fate for the country we love. A verdict to Navalny is a verdict to Russia," the organizers said.
The protests also took place in Finland, Israel, France and some other European countries. Dozens of Russian political refugees came to the Consular Section of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Kyiv too.
It is to be recalled that the Navalny brothers were accused of stealing funds from a French cosmetics company, while the company claims that the men have not committed any crime.
Navalny and his supporters say the criminal case is politically motivated. Since the opposition leader has long openly criticized the Kremlin and President Vladimir Putin.
