During his press conference Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko signed the Law on the abolition of non-aligned status in front of the whole country, Joinfo.ua reports.
Poroshenko also said that he plans to reform the country so it meets the standards of NATO and the EU.
"And when Ukraine meets the standards, I think it will be done within 5-6 years in terms of 2020 strategy, the people of Ukraine will decide whether the country will enter NATO," he said.
Previously, it was reported that President Poroshenko is not going to sell 5 Kanal, a television station in Ukraine belonging to him. At the same time, he said, the agreement for the sale of Roshen Confectionery Corporation was already concluded, however, the process is complicated by poor investment climate in the country.
