The interlocutors have discussed the situation in Donbas and the execution state of the Minsk Protocol of September 5 and Minsk Memorandum of September 19. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Francois Hollande, Angela Merkel and Putin agreed on the need to comply with all provisions of these agreements for the peaceful settlement of Donbas, Joinfo.ua informs with reference to the press service of the Presidential Administration.
The parties have discussed the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group to be held until the end of the week to ensure progress on implementation of the Minsk Agreements. In particular, the agenda of the Contact Group meeting should include the issue of the ceasefire, withdrawal to the line of demarcation fixed in the Memorandum, withdrawal of troops and heavy weapons, as well as hostages"'release. President of Ukraine also drew attention to the urgent need to release the Deputy Nadiya Savchenko, whose health has deteriorated, from the Russian prison.
Presidents of Ukraine, Russia and France, as well as German Chancellor agreed to continue telephone conversations in "Normandy format" in a few days to maintain an active dialogue and monitor the results of the agreements reached in this format.
It is to be recalled, after the meeting of Ukrainian President Poroshenko and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs Federica Mogherini, both politicians have made a joint statement.
