The Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel sharply criticizes Russia's policy towards Ukraine. In her speech at the congress of the Christian Democratic Union in Cologne, the head of the German government stressed that the Russian authorities undermine the post-war order in Europe, "Russia has violated and continues to violate international law. The neighboring countries are no longer partners but became a zone of influence," the politician said.
Angela Merkel stressed that Ukraine should be geographically indivisible, this state itself must determine its own future, "It is a difficult path that requires persistence, but we will help (Ukraine – ed.) with it as we can," promised Merkel. German Chancellor reiterated that the conflict in Ukraine can not be solved militarily, that is why every effort should be made to achieve a political solution.
