Brussels has allocated 500 million euros within the macro-financial assistance to Ukraine.
This is the next tranche of aid for Kiev authorities. "Today, the European Commission has allocated macroeconomic support for Ukraine of EUR 500 million, with EUR 860 million already provided within the framework of two macroeconomic programs for Ukraine.
This is a very specific signal of Europe"s commitment to Ukraine and assistance to resolve the crisis," European Commission representative Mina Andreeva said.
Money should be spent on the implementation of reforms, namely, in the management of public funds, the energy sector and the fight against corruption.
