It was announced by David Nabarro, Senior UN System Coordinator for Ebola Virus Disease. According to him, currently there are tested two vaccines that have sufficiently good prospects to fight Ebola, joinfo.ua reports.

If experimental drugs pass all tests, in the near future they will be sent to help the infected people.

At the same time Vandi Chidi Minah, the representative of Liberia to the United Nations, said that the successful completion of all the tests are expected by the end of this year. He also noted that, to date Chinese, Japanese and British pharmaceutical companies have reached very progressive results in the treatment of the dangerous virus.

It is to be recalled that according to the WHO, Ebola took the lives of more than five thousand people. More than 14 thousand people are infected. The greatest number of casualties is recorded in three countries – Sierra Leone, Liberia and Guinea.

Previously, the WHO also stated that by January the Ebola virus could affect about 1.5 million people in West Africa. In order to prevent the rapid spread of this dangerous disease, the WHO says about the need to take all possible measures to restrain the spread of the epidemic.
