As a result of head-on collision of a passenger bus and a truck in Pakistan killed 56 people. According to police, the accident occurred late at night on November 10 in the province of Sindh, while there was thick fog over the road.
The bus with about 70 people was heading from the Swat Valley to the southern port city of Karachi.
"The Karachi-bound passenger bus coming from north-western city of Swat went on the wrong side of the road and collided head-on with a goods container, killing 56 people," said local police official Nasir Aftab.
According to doctors, among those killed there are 17 women and 18 children.
Accidents with a significant number of victims are a common phenomenon in Pakistan because of poor quality of roads and disregard of traffic rules.
