It was stated by the Minister of Defense Irakli Alasania, writes News-Georgia.
During the NATO Summit held in Wales on September 4-5, there has been approved a package of measures to encourage Georgia in its intention for membership in the alliance.
"The new package of cooperation has other initiatives such as the construction of a military school, where the representatives of different countries will be trained, as well as a logistics center base, which will receive new military men and facilitate the training," said Alasania.
According to him, the defense ministry has already sent to NATO its guidelines on what a training base has to be like and waits for response from the member countries of the Alliance.
Alasania noted that a special group of NATO would direct and control the process of project execution in Georgia within the new package of cooperation.
