It included meetings with President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and the Secretary of State John Kerry.
During the meeting, Petro Poroshenko and Barack Obama will discuss peaceful resolution of the situation in Donbas.
"It is expected that President Obama will continue urging President Poroshenko to overcome the differences between the Ukrainian government and the pro-Russian separatists in the eastern Ukraine in a diplomatic way," said the White House spokesperson Josh Ernest.
The President of Ukraine will also address at the joint meeting of the Senate and the House of Representatives and at the Atlantic Council.
September 17 Poroshenko visited Canada, where he addressed at the joint meeting of the Parliament, met with the leaders of this country and the Ukrainian community.
