Refugees from Donbas: Officially, more than 115 thousand people moved out from ATO area

Refugees from Donbas continue to flee from the ATO area through transit exit points on the region border. It was reported in the Information Center of the RNBO.

More than 115 thousand people moved out from the ATO area

The Information Center of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine reports that according to the latest operational data obtained from the transit points of the State Emergency Services, more than 115,000 people, including nearly 40,000 children left the ATO area.

"All refugees from Donbas, officially evacuated from the combat zone in the east of Ukraine, migrate to other regions of the country. Nowadays the number of civilians who wanted to leave the ATO area and who officially went through the transit points is more than 115,000. There are about 40,000 children among them," the RNBO reported.

At the same time, according to the National Security and Defense Council, the total number of the Ukrainians emigrated from Crimea and Sevastopol to the mainland Ukraine is about 17 thousand, including about 5,000 children.

It is to be recalled, that according to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, about 30 thousand children, refugees from Ukraine will be able to go to school this year, September 1 and to continue their studies in universities or vocational institutions. Currently 6,500 children from Ukraine are defined in kindergartens, 2,5 thousands – in high schools and 1,5 thousand – in the institutions of secondary vocational education in different cities of Russia.
